Handcrafted in Hawick, Scotland, expressly for The Lanam Shop, this crew neck jumper uses pure camel hair yarns spun in England by Z. Hinchliffe & Sons. The raw camel hair fiber for the yarn comes from the soft underbelly of the Two-Humped Bactrian Camel, native to the Gobi Desert. Left in its undyed, dark natural camel color, this sweater is minimally refined and ideal for those with skin sensitivity. The individual pieces are knitted using antique knitting machines and hand blocked and hand-joined in an extensive 30-step crafting process. To further unlock the natural softness and beauty of camel hair, the finished sweater is washed in the soft mineral-rich waters of the River Teviot. Impeccably finished, the English rib pattern flows from the body into the knit waist and sleeve detailing — the overall appearance is enhanced by the classic saddle shoulder design.
